Education and family background

Maryam Nawaz belongs to the Sharif family of Pakistan. Daughter of Nawaz Sharif and Begum Kalsoom Nawaz, granddaughter of Muhammad Sharif, a prominent industrialist, the niece of Shahbaz Sharif and wife of Capt Safdar. She was born 28 October 1973 in Lahore, Punjab. Maryam is a mother of three children. 

She completed her early education from Convent of Jesus and Mary school in Lahore. She earned her undergraduate degree from Punjab University. Also PhD in Political Science from Punjab University.

Political background

She is active in promoting the rights of women and youth. Being one of the most influential women in Pakistan. Maryam shot to fame in very little time and left her mark on Pakistani politics.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif was nominated a Young Global Leader 2013 by World Economic Forum by his hard work and public support in general election 2013.

Having such a strong political background, she has also committed herself to serving the people of Pakistan under the Leadership of the Her Father. Therefore:

She is the Chairperson of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme.
She is working on a Health Initiative for the country on behalf of the Prime Minister.
